Marcelo Vieira da Silva Junior (born May 12, 1988) is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team. Marcelo said to be gifted with great technical skills, a fierce shot and good passing. Primarily a left back, he can also operate as a left winger.
Very often compared to Roberto Carlos, Marcelo called as heir by Roberto Carlos Roberto Carlos himself and said "Marcelo has better technical skills than me," and also called Marcelo the best in the world in his position.
